The fact that people can use AI to make shit doesn’t inherently stop you from making whatever you’re going to make if it truly is all about “expressing yourself”.
If you’re truly for art then it doesn’t matter, support artists and keep making art, because AI is not only never going away ever, it will get better and better and better.
