as a disabled artist, the disabled argument is insane to me. when i used to have my health, i'd draw for hours upon hours a day. now though? i'm lucky if i can manage three or more hours even if i don't need to do a thing that day. it'll often leave me in pain to draw, too. it sounds insane, but it's true. on top of that, intense and reoccurring migraines (that sometimes last days to weeks for me) often make it so it hurts to be in a room with much light, let alone draw digitally. but despite it all, i still draw and would never use ai. it's unethical to steal from artists and no matter what, we find a way to create. it may be harder or take more time, but it's still possible and i find myself disgusted when people try to use disability as some sort of gotcha. i can almost say for certain, aside from a few outliers, that most people saying such things would probably insist that my disabilities and chronic illnesses are either made up or something that makes me less human. i despise those arguments with my whole heart
