AI has already become EXTREMELY good at software development. I’ve made an AI code its own rendering engine that mixed ray tracing with path tracing in python. I made it code an entire discord clone that works. I made it make an entire game engine. I made it make a path tracing shader for Minecraft, I’ve done everything, and it does it like almost first prompt, sometimes it takes 3 or 4 prompts to get right but mostly 1st prompt. The AI model I use for this is Claude Opus 4.5 in Claude Code. The days of coding from scratch are near over.
