I do agree A.I. art is inferior to me, but the logic used could be better.
The masses can be tricked easily , especially with the latest models. Being nice to look at it is simply enough for most people, especially low brow people indulging in fetish driven content.
Argument somewhat falls apart when an A.I streamer (neuro sama) is one of the most popular. Also scripted content is very popular, and not akin to A.I. at all. Scripted content requires a lot of human inputs. People are content to be entertained by A.I. despite it not being human.
The real reason is the inevitability of how big of a threat is. It's boringness and the fact it is not made by a human is a lesser impact. Commercial companies will eventually use it once it good enough. Regulation is also needed. Especially if the AI bros are even remotely correct about the improvements artists are doomed at least for a bit.
