The big problem with going into the skilled trades is they're overwhelmingly male and are notoriously hostile places for women to be in. Sexual harassment is a HUGE problem. What few women who DO enter these professions end up quitting because of how badly the men treated them. Many skilled trades are just about 100% men, like being a bricklayer.
What few skilled trades that are predominantly women, like being a travel agent, event planner or a cosmetologist, pay much less than the ones for men and 2 of these are being wiped out by AI, leaving even fewer options for women. And with the new caps on how much tuition assistance has been put on occupations like nursing, this will block off opportunities for another woman dominated profession (nursing).
People who are on the autism spectrum will have a much tougher time learning and using the art and skill of effective emotional intelligence. That's a LOT of people. Also, people who are introverted may prefer working alone and not have to deal with people all the time.
