Here we are discussing robot rights, when most people don't even care about animal rights and fund the horrific torture and killing of animals when all of us know that animals are sentient- they have hearts and brains and nervous systems, feel pain and want to live like the rest of us. Right now, at this very instant, many animals are getting their throats slit in "slaughterhouses" or driven to insanity in a tiny cage, but does anyone care? No, that is paid for by "decent" human beings (even when other options are widely available) and justified vehemently at that. Food for thought.
