Whenever I see someone talking about AI taking over everything I become skeptical.
Most importantly “experts” that are talking about Artificial Super Intelligence never mention how different it is from the current transformer models. We are talking about night and day difference. The amount to energy and computational power that would be required with the current tech does not exist and we are nowhere near to create such thing.
Today’s LLM’s are just guessing machines for the next best word, they are good at it but that’s it. Also those models would be nowhere without human data and human input. If humans today would stop creating those models would become inbred and degrade.
Don’t get scared just go on with your live, you will see that over a few years this hype will be over after the AI bubble snaps.
