I don't think programming languages will ever go away. After all, AI learns from existing code, and therefore AI will never invent anything new, so if someone writes a prompt in the sense of absolute insanity, AI can't cope, but an experienced senior could.
The other thing is that tech companies compete with each other to see who can make a better product. More programmers = faster progress and better execution in less time. So companies will keep hiring new people.
