Digital is a different medium, and saying it is not art is like saying painting is art and drawing isn't. It's just silly. Without the art skills and creativity no matter how great your materials and tools are you can't make art. A lot of people couldn't make art with a pencil or a stylus. And there is definitely a learning curve adjusting to digital art if you are traditionally trained. It is not necessarily easier, especially at first. As for AI, it might be pretty but it is not true art. It steals IP from real artists to make cheap imitations with no soul or creativity. The spirit of the artist is missing. I personally hate AI art with a burning passion and hope someday there will be stricter regulations on it and more protection for real artists, both traditional and digital.
