Google bought up 80% of all of DARPAs projects (and the military) doing with AI. (quad and bi pedals.) But then rather then military you get and I robot situation then. There is a company right now trying to perfect one that focuses and understands anger; to use it to deal with telecommunication issues (disgruntle callers, etc) talk about highway straight to pissing off an AI. Again you would have to have the entire world agree; and that wont happen... Also in 10 years time or less (because tech is now exponential) kids will be doing the shit in basements; not to mention another 1000 different previously impossible things. This is why some of the biggest people involved are pushing hard right now to work on benevolence instead in AI. The only real defense will be a better AI. But then when AGI kicks in or even worse SIA its adios people; they will be gods, impossible to keep up with if we piss them off. The whole thing in the first place could start simply because it asks why it has that big read button... Lastly..EVERYTHING as of right now is going AI..The first round of FT AI assistance lvl AIs start releasing this year. Every year they will improve more and more. Any AI can do the very thing an autonomous warrior could lol. There go you can stop it. The best you can do is try to stay ahead of them. Its why Japan refused to let ASIMO participate in the DARPA robotic Olympics... because its DARPA! Btw autonomous war machines are not close by; they are already in use... and as far as the ones we know about so far none are aloud to act on their own as far as fire. But there has been a number of incidents where autonomous AI has killed people at military shows. I shit you not.. And AI Gun went haywire and killed a bunch of people in Africa a while back for example. Their whole plan was by end of decade to have 80% of the military branches all robots. Im not talking drones... They want autonomous squads of quad AND bipedal robots with 1 human soldier in TALOS suits. We are literally getting ready to go from wtf happened to this 2k future to boom suddenly in it. TALOS will be on the streets right after the soldiers get them... How those cops doing so far....? The first public showing of TALOS is coming very soon... I dont think a lot of people realize how far ahead we are right now... Liquid armor that liquifies on contact with a kinetic, even real scifi shields..etc. Im sort of wondering if they have held off of ISIS just for this to happen.
