Ahahahaha!! this is so fucking stupid. First of all, safe following distance is a thing, a self driving car would not be that close. Secondly, even at that distance a self driving car WOULD react in time. It would simply hit the breaks at full force, the boxes falling off don't suddenly lose all their speed faster than the car can. But let's just say it couldn't react in time, what would it do? Hit the boxes head on, where the crumple zones work best, hitting a car side on is a great way to kill someone or cause a greater accident (fucking up all the cars in the surrounding lanes). This video is underestimating the reacting time and breaking ability of modern cars.
