Robots won't ask for their "rights" inasmuch as animals don't. We're the only organism capable of producing superfluous concepts as such, and it's probably because we're inherently flawed and doomed to an inevitable extinction. Robots and animals will probably thrive and survive as autonomously as the universe had always been whilst humans will exterminate each other in wars over "rights".
