This video is to be taken with many grains of salt. For one: there is a principle in driving that gives everybody an easy way out of any dilemma which is: "ONLY WORRY ABOUT WHAT'S HAPPENING IN FRONT OF YOU" Everybody who follows this rule will never kill anybody by ramming into them because people following this rule would break first. And from a pure logic argument, if nobody rams into the person in front of them, nobody will ever be ran into. So when this self driving vehicle sees the truck, it would simply break, and so would the normal cars behind it and so forth until they all came to a stop and the boxes could then safely be removed from the road.
(So contrary to popular belief, our self driving cars need not be ultra intelligent and analyze the value of every member of society to see which one it should kill in the event of an accident.)
