Self aware AI shouldn't be developed to begin with in my opinion, since the point of robots is to have automatons that are capable of serving our needs and interests. Something like Siri wasn't made for people to have a conversation with another person, it was made so people have a quicker means to give their phones commands. We shouldn't be trying to create more competition for ourselves by creating self aware AI that can evolve.
