The biggest step in gene modification is changing nerve signals to electrical signals. That should improve our reaction and thinking speed by millions of times. Then we would no longer need to fear AI's. Coupled that with improving our IQ to Einstein's level and we have billions of Einstein's each thinking millions of times faster than Einstein. That would be scary as fuck.
