this is pretty dumb. it should always be programmed to stop as fast as it can. never swerve. you are always going to cause more problems by swerving you hit one car on the left or right then that increases the chances that it will drag more people into a serious collision. by only stopping you minimize the chances of a lot more people getting hurt and the payout goes to the person driving the self driving car in the middle.
