Technology is progressing faster than society can keep up with. When millions of truck drivers are out of jobs what will happen to them? Technology reducing human labor requirements is a societal issue that needs to be addressed. Population is increasing and jobs are decreasing that is going to create a very dangerous society. There are only so many engineering jobs and surgeon jobs available not everyone can be highly educated and perform well. The ones who cant do these things will be the ones replaced by robots and the ones with nothing no fucks to give. Crime will skyrocket.
If you think your safe because you have a high paying job that requires a lot of schooling, you have done nothing more than buy your self some time. Actual AI is coming and it will out perform even the smartest people. So when smart people and dumb people are ditch diggers but the ditch digger is replaced by a robot what will we do then????
