UPDATE!! 100% AUTONOMOUS DRIVEN SEMI-TRUCK DELIVERS BEER 120 MILES. O October 16th, 2016, A group of semi-trucks delivered beer from the Budweiser factory in Ft. Collins, Colorado to Colorado Springs via I-25. They completed the drive flawlessly (escorted by state police), including maneuvering through rush-hour traffic in Denver.
Autonomous vehicles, including trucks is in it's infancy, yet we see how rapidly this technology is evolving.
Sadly, the human truck-driver's job is living on borrowed time. 5 years, 10 years, maybe 20 years at most, truckers will be given their pink slips, and will need to find new careers.
