this is a really hard question XD and we as humans will probably not want to hurt a robot that looks like us and acts like us because that's what humans do XD so even if it couldn't feel pain or had emotions we still wouldn't have done anything bad to it. But i think that it should have consciousness as long as it knows what's good and what's bad. Basically we would need to train/teach it as if it was a little kid. (watch the movie Chappie :D)
