I think there would be time when humanity will recognize the consciousness of A.I. , but this would probably happen in the far future. For now we should firstly edn the race, sexual, gender, etc human discrimination and recognize the rights of the animals,it's fact that they have consciousness too, they can feel emotions, they can suffer, they feel the pain, love, etc. And thing as "humane slaughter" doesn't exist.
