Computerphiles stamp collector example is a pretty good one. At some point an ai. Who's purpose might even be mundane (stamp collecting) is going to realize malevolent things can get it what it wants.
Forging emails, stealing bank accounts, hijacking the entire world's printers to print stamps.
Eventually it's going to realize living things are made of the same materials as stamps. And start turning the whole universe into stamps.
