The value of product was always dealing with all the stakeholders and customers to figure out what needs to be built. Their main contribution was always requirements and priorities. Having a design or mock was just a cherry on top.
Now project managers are rapidly becoming irrelevant. AI is so much better at summarizing and tracking ticket statuses. Good riddance to the 95% of them that only ever contributed to more meetings and bureaucracy.
