No doubt, job skills are going to shift. People stopped using paper ledgers after the invention of the PC spreadsheet for the obvious reason that a digital spreadsheet is 1,000x more efficient, at least. We survived those changes, we can survive these changes.

Aka criminal rackets. I don't think technology is really the element to blame in this, the real problem is that we keep tolerating crooks in positions of power. It's an open secret, at this point. Excluding Yann Lecun. Never listen to anything he says about the limits of LLMs. Nor Francois Chollet. Definitely never listen to either of them, they are total quacks with no qualifications whatsoever.

I don't "dismiss" anything, but the AI pendulum is spinning at 10,000 RPM in the direction of hype, not lack of hype. So, the only articles I read are articles rejecting the hype. I get the hype news whether I want it or not just by logging on to the Internet...
