Hello, Id like to first say to keep your head up high. While every rejection hurts it shouldn’t shake your passion or love for your craft. You’re incredible and I hope for your success. I’m in the same boat as you. I recently graduated Dec 2025 and while I do have some past work experience in SWE. I am still too new. Recently I was rejected by a triple a game company and one of the bigger things they mentioned is that I’m still too new to the space. Note that they deadass called me the day after I submitted my application. Let alone the fact I passed 3/4 rounds of interviews. This isn’t new to hear but there is definitely ways to gain experience even when looking for a job. For example I’ve been building out this project called “Figure Fixing Felix” a IFIXIT for action figures and been posting updated here on Reddit. Reason I bring this up is because it’s a personal project I’ve been putting hella elbow grease to build and crazily enough the triple a company brought it up! As well as some of my other projects that I never mentioned on my resume or cover letter. So what I’m trying to say is to build something. Prove that you can do it by making something. Note that your quality of work should reflect only you. If AI can do it in one prompt it’s not a reflection of you but the AI model. Reason I bring that up is because in concept my project can be built by AI so instead of it just being a website I incorporated web scraping workflows, data visualization, and other things that AI has a hard time doing but something I know how to do. So try to build something you like or find a niche problem from a space you know intimately. For example I love flowers and sometimes I see humming birds feeding from some flowers, why not build something to take photos of hummingbirds or build a database of flowers that attract the most amount of hummingbirds. I love projects that are a bit more tactile where I don’t only stand in front of my laptop so why not use my project to al
