Regulation is minimal currently so everyone’s experimenting with AI. There’s also a hard limit on natural resources no one talks about. The further along we go the less likely these companies are to actually land ASI. The jury’s still out on whether Earth can support 1 ASI. If two or more emerged the damage to the earth ecosystem would be catastrophic.
