As a Buddhist, I'd always felt pretty comfortable with the fact that "Right Livelihood" (part of the 8-fold path to Enlightenment) was not going to be difficult for me to achieve as a software developer. But as I get more and more involved in AI, I worry that my job might be causing as much harm to others as the more traditional occupations that should be avoided (e.g., Weapons, drugs/alcohol, trafficking).
