I think that's the difference - if you've had that many dates over your adult life then chances are you've had a lot of time to get used to not being in a relationship.
For the younger generation, particularly in teens/early 20s when there is this massive change in their mind and it's a frantic time of change and rush to achieve (get on the 'right track' for adulthood) I think it's easier for them to feel like they're falling behind and are more adaptable to what AI offers.
