i don't know if its the same incident, but moist critikal covered an incident where there was a grandma who was done dirty like that and was imprisoned for 6 months in a US state she didn't live in and the police didn't even offer her help going back home or anything after she was cleared. she was arrested in summer clothes, thrown out in an unfamiliar winter street in those same clothes, and was expected to eventually find her way home like she was some animal being released from captivity how many such incidents need to happen before governments realize you can't automate law and order by force and by breaking down basic human rights? a discontent and mistreated society only breeds more chaos and destruction. and history has shown that it rarely ends well for those in charge when things reach beyond the tipping point. no matter how powerful those people are
