This is what people don’t understand. Most of big tech overhired like crazy less than 6 years ago.
Layoffs suck I agree and I feel for the people affected but it’s clear that meta can shrink its workforce by another 25% and still have considerable higher people working for them than before.
Given how much exposure they have for their AI build out I expect them to do so by 2030 if rates haven’t come down by then.
