They are subsidizing use right now to get usage data for further training. The business model is to get to the point that they can provide drop in employees for less than it costs to employ people. The answer is not circle jerking on reddit about how AI isn't really a thing. The answer is to contact your representative and tell them you don't want AI taking your job, you want a global moratorium on new AI models.
