This is the only way large tech companies can remain profitable, with reasonable levels of debt, and still spend multiple billions of dollars on AI, which the market is basically forcing them to do. These companies have been around for a while now. They cannot grow at the rate they were used to, and some of them will cease to exist in our lifetime. If you're at a small/medium tech company building something cool, I think you're fine and your company will grow. We are witnessing the first true existential battle in big tech since these companies were founded.
