Yeah, the fault definitely resides squarely with everyone involved who made her arrest happen in the first place. But it's crazy that it took 6 months to get her out. Even if he's a public defender, he owes her his best effort. Did he explain to the district attorney "hey, she has an alibi, she's never even been to this state and the only reason she was arrested was your ai program made a mistake"? Did he go to any media outlets? Go see a judge and try to get this taken care of immediately? Maybe he did absolutely everything and it still took 6 months because the system is such a broken piece of shit punishment machine. I'm just curious to see what exactly he did to free her from a custody that should never have happened.
