Hmm, he's in North Dakota. Wouldn't shock me if he was just a public defender assigned to her after she was flown there. She probably can't afford a lawyer on retainer.
There's probably more to the legal story, but the main issue seems to be a warrent for her arrest based purely on ai with no other corroborating evidence.
