> We all know natural language is the new coding paradigm. This is exactly what it feels like to me , at my day job as a SWE. I no longer really write code in python... I ask Claude for what I need in English and it gets translated to Python. But, I still feel like I am using most of my brainpower for the thinking phase... Figuring out *what* need, what the constraints are, reading the code to ensure it does what it should, etc. In fact, I actually feel like my job is harder now.. It used to be that a task might be 50% planning and 50% typing away at mundane shit that didn't require much thinking, now, the mundane is handled by a model, so I spend all my time thinking "is that fucking right? does that even work?"
