Question is, how can UBI be implemented? Where will the money come from? UBI is one of those things that sound really nice on paper, but in application it falls apart. Also, I think we should not call certain jobs "unskilled". But I suppose that's another topic. I do think that the "unskilled" jobs will still remain on some capacity, except maybe customer service jobs, which you see dying, but the white collar jobs, well, you can already see them being replaced by "clankers". Jobs like translators are already dead, transcribers are gone, coders and programmers are slowly ending. Eventually, I think there will be only two "classes" left; The billionaire class who own all of this AI bullshit and the you and I peasants, who will have to rely on the crumbs the billionaires throw at us and fight for those scraps. I don't think UBI will be as you think it will in application. People have a very wrong idea of what UBI actually would be in application.
