My last job set up a team dedicated to investigating the potential benefits AI could have for clients. Almost every time one asked about incorporating the tech, the team had to draw a hard line and tell them it was a terrible idea because the cost to maintain it would do more harm than good. I think (sadly) it's gotten a lot more affordable as companies have figured out who they can and can't let go, as well as dedicated companies popping up to manage the infrastructure at a fraction of the cost. Maybe Dave with the chippy added AI to his menu like he wanted back in 2023.
