I work in DevOps. Our company is pushing everyone to be using AI and agents for anything. No manual work, automate everything (lol) There is such a huge push to use AI, yet I don’t see anyone getting laid off directly because of it. It’s more like “1/4 of your team has been laid off and there have been 7 org changes in the last year so if you want any chance of knowing what F is going on, you better fire up that Co-Pilot license and create some agents pronto”
