When I was growing up people who lived on the same power distribution lines as hospitals and high level government officials were considered lucky as they wouldn't lose power as often. This could be a blessing as you said. The only thing I am worried about is the power coming from coal plants. More pollution and greenhouse gases for everyone. I hope the Indian govt. takes steps to reduce the reliance on coal power. I know they are doing well on their targets for renewable power. But if they are courting new power hungry industries like this they need to consider more aggressive goals like no coal power for data centers etc.
