Honestly, I’ve noticed the same thing, and it’s becoming really obvious from a hiring standpoint too. When I talk to candidates, most of them still underestimate how “real-world ready” AI already is. They think it’s this experimental, novelty tool when in reality companies are quietly rebuilding workflows around it. The people who are actually leaping ahead aren’t the hardcore engineers, it’s the ones who developed strong transferable skills (communication, problem-scoping, decision-making) *and* learned how to plug AI into those skills. That combo is becoming a cheat code. What worries me is that the gap in awareness is going to turn into a gap in employability. The folks who treat AI like a toy are going to have a rough wake-up call when they realize teams are already being redesigned around smaller, more AI-augmented roles. So yeah, I agree. The tech is moving faster than the public conversation.
