Ima just throw this out there in video game terminology something that I've notice the pattern of. Given any particular race there's only a certain set of facial features that can be chosen (by genetics). E.G. there's like only 14 - 21 different noses for white people. Same with the others. That's why you see so many doppelgangers out there. Like how people confuse Elisha Wood with Daniel Radcliffe. Not a great analogy because they look different enough, but you should see where my point is going. For the majority of my life, at least one time a year, I'll have some stranger come up to me and say that I look like somebody they know. One dude at the gas pump even went white saying I looked exactly like his dead friend. This facial recognition is only going to work so well and should not be the definitive proof they seek.
