How do you figure? We have an estimated 40 million slaves in the world right now. We need cheap labor to maintain and grow our quality of life, so much so that we're willing to turn a blind eye to outright slavery. But, then you guys come out and complain about automation? The idea that we could do away with human labor entirely? I have a secret for you: The rich already don't need you. Whatever job you're doing is part of a larger economy that exists for the ultra-rich to keep score with. If they were going to just declare all work dead, they'd do it today and retire to their bunkers. They all already have bunkers, you know. I hate that we're nearing the end of human labor, and all anyone can do is complain and catastrophise. Will someone try to misuse it? Of course. But, the vast, vast, 99.9% of humanity would choose to use it to automate labor and free people from the grind of living. When almost everyone just wants peace and bounty, it's going to be hard for the ultra-minority to hang on to that power and keep it to themselves.
