Riddle me this, programmer man: if they replaced your manager with an AI could you tell? It seems to me that it would be easier to replace middle management (it simply needs to hound you about JIRA tickets) than techies. However, the AI companies have thus far failed replace the order takers at [McDonalds](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c722gne7qngo) or [call center](https://www.govtech.com/question-of-the-day/did-a-bank-have-to-rehire-fired-employees-after-their-ai-replacement-was-bad-at-the-job) workers.
