I think the hype is already starting to die, despite foaming tech-bros claiming that the AI slop train is just getting started. The recent [MIT report](https://fortune.com/2025/08/18/mit-report-95-percent-generative-ai-pilots-at-companies-failing-cfo/) and [Apple's paper](https://machinelearning.apple.com/research/illusion-of-thinking) are likely just the start.
I'm sure there's someone reading this with a smirk, thinking they are among the top 5% to have a successful AI company and that AGI will replace our jobs in the next 2 years, just like it did 2 years ago, and the 2 year before that...
