It’s going to make the shortage even worse. When the older workers leave, and they realize AI can’t do everything they want it to, they’ll be scrambling to find talent. And that talent won’t exist or the ones that do will have way more power in the negotiations.
That, and the first few major lawsuits about how AI engineering somehow kills someone.
