So, this actually happened about a decade ago with commercial truck drivers. The Next Big Thing was self-driving 18-wheelers. We would have self-driving trucks! they said. We don’t need drivers! they said.
Flash forward a few years…and people made the rational decision to not enter a field where they were told over and over and over that those jobs would be automated away.
