It largely depends on how much hype AI companies can keep up. A stock value is based on hype and speculation rather than revenue. Much of the hype comes from investors and hedge fund managers who believe that one day AI will make it possible to create value without the use of workers. That is the ultimate fantasy of the aristocratic class. Trying convince these rich people that AI is overvalued is like trying to convince people to get out of a cult. You can try using logic, but logic isn't brought them in the first place. I do believe that reality will one day catch up to the AI bubble and when that happens, we will all suffer the consequences. Maybe one day when there is much AI code, very important systems will break. Maybe WIndows 11 or any important IT service will just stop working, and the important thing is that there is nobody to fix it. After all, the appeal of coding with AI is that nobody has to know how the code works, so if it breaks there is no documentation to help fix it. Not to mention, these big companies fired most workers. That's my predication.
