What I’ve learned from all this as a software dev of ~10yoe isn’t that I’m likely to be replaced by ai. It’s that the suits in the c-suite aren’t just indifferent like I thought. They are actively hostile toward the well being of myself and my family. They are in fact emotionally invested in my failure. They rub their hands with glee at the thought of putting us out of our home so that they can pad their own accounts and have even more than they already do. I’ve learned and will act accordingly in the future. I strongly doubt I’m the only one.
