The whole thing hinges on a hypothesis, that generative models will develop proper reasoning, or a new architecture will be discovered. Or at least inference costs will go down drastically. They get stuck with gen-ai - current churn rate is unsustainable. Prices will go up, services will get worse, the market will shrink to reflect actual value. Jobs are gonna suck for a few years regardless, while businesses bang against gen-ai limitations. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the slop is. They have to see it for themselves.
