Is it easier to fix society so that no one needs AI as a support mechanism, or to let people just use it for self care? If you can fix the deeper and more problematic issues then go for it. Until then, it’s just being a dick to “shame people” on purpose so they don’t do something that increases their quality of life in a world that is essentially unchangeable and only getting worse.
