I have a few years under my belt now. The first year or two of entry-level work was exhausting. Now that I'm more "mid-career," I make it a point to actively avoid any kind of application that requires: - Any type of "task" even before an interview; or - Any long-form BS personality quiz that takes 20+ minutes. If you make me do either of those before I even get to a phone screen, you're not worth my time. If you are using AI in an actual interview, then that is even worse than those - it is showing me that you don't value the human seeing as any question I would ask would be pointless (it wouldn't be able to answer specific questions as if it had worked there) in addition to showing that the second that my work can be automated, I'm out.
